This recipe is probably one of the easiest bread recipes you will ever come across.
.
No knead - almost no mess - and any beginner to the bread world will master this hands down with minimal effort, while impressing your family and friends.
.
What you need (apart from time)
⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
3 cups of bread flour
1 sachet of yeast (7g)
1/4 tsp salt
1.5cup warm water (not boiling hot - just warm).
Cast iron pot/ Dutch oven
.
Mix together the flour, salt and yeast, then add warm water and mix. The “dough” will be very wet and sticky. You want this consistency- you don’t want to be able to knead this.
.
Cling film the bowl - and place in a warm, draught free spot in the kitchen and allow to double in size for 2hrs.
.
At the 1.5hr mark - preheat your oven to 180°c - and add your Dutch oven in to heat up.
.
At the 2hr mark - Scrape dough out of bowl onto a lightly floured parchment paper.
.
Fold/mold into a rough oval shape - no need to knead - and place into the Dutch oven - closing the lid. Note - Keeping the lid on will help develop steam which will help make the bread rise.
.
Bake for 30 mins.
.
After 30 mins - remove lid, and bake uncovered for 12 mins until golden brown.
.
Allow the bread to cool for 15 mins before slicing into.
