Healthy Date, Banana & Walnut pancakes.

Did you know?


Dates - Apart from being an excellent substitute for refined sugar, dates can improve the skin, aid in losing weight, reduce belly fat, prevent hair loss, and provide support during pregnancy.

Walnuts - Walnuts are the top nut for brain health. They have a significantly high concentration of DHA, a type of Omega-3 fatty acid. Among other things, DHA has been shown to protect brain health in newborns, improve cognitive performance in adults, and prevent or ameliorate age-related cognitive decline.


Sooooo why wouldn't you start your day right?

What you need.

1 cup oats

1 egg

1 banana

1/4 cup plant based milk

1 tsp baking powder

3 dates, softened with boiling water and pit removed.

1/2 tsp cinnamon

.

Blitz all ingredients to create a batter.

.

Heat pan, add light cooking spray (or butter) and pour your batter to desired size. Once the edges seem set, flip and cook until browned.

.

Add a dollop of vanilla Greek yoghurt, crushed walnuts, maple and dusting on cinnamon.

.

Tip - Add vanilla protein powder for an extra bit of #protein.
